Tarkett, a global leader in innovative and sustainable solutions for flooring and sports surfaces, announced today its commitment to expand its Luxury Vinyl Tiles production in Europe.  Complementing its three existing LVT production sites in France, Luxembourg and Germany, the new expanded site in Jaslo Poland will enable Tarkett to meet the ongoing increasing demand in the LVT market, the fastest growing flooring segment in Europe. Tarkett expects the new LVT production in Poland to be fully operational by the end of 2016.

Tarkett’s plant in Jaslo has been recognized by the National Centre for Research and Development (an EU-funded Polish government agency) as one of the most innovative and competitive production plants in Poland. In particular, it has demonstrated a strong capability in combining production efficiency and environmentally-friendly product design for its new LVT Click product, adding value through low VOC, phthalate-free and 100% recyclable materials.

“This significant investment in our plant in Poland will integrate new cutting-edge technology to improve our quality, productivity and most important, the service to our customers. It will play a key role in the development and delivery of our strong LVT collection in Europe,” said Remco Teulings, President EMEA, Tarkett Group. “Tarkett is committed to building on this success to continue innovating and supporting customer needs.”

The strong infrastructure and central location, combined with the skills and quality of the workforce were significant factors in the company’s decision. “With respect to the business and social activity to date, we greatly appreciate Tarkett’s presence in Jaslo,” says Ryszard Pabian, Mayor of Jaslo. “I expect that the further dynamic development of Tarkett’s facility in Jaslo will bring many advantages both to the residents of our city as well as other organisations operating here.” The new production centre is scheduled to be operational this year. By then, Tarkett will have created more than 130 new jobs in the region.
